The installation
imagines displaces the viewer into a narrow, wooden corridor leading to the
inside of a metal garden shed. Here, they is exposed to various stimulus. While a penetrating
scent of soil comes from a Geosmin solution, a rain of seeds, loosened by vibrations of the
ceiling, falls into the shed. The work title takes up these references to rural fertility. ‘Imago’ is
the adult state of insects when sexual maturity is reached.
The exhibition is the firsr chapter of the series One Thing Left to Try.
Zishi Han (*1990, China) lives and works in Frankfurt am Main. His works have been exhibited among others at Busan Biennale, HUA International, and Fondazione Ratti.
